Total hours worked in the 2017 season was 6,850 and covered the manager, herd manager and all other staff. This equates to 2.9 full-time equivalents employed on the farm. This equates to 11 working hours per cow per year. Or .74 cents per kilogram per milk solids, or A$400 per cow per year. The top 25% for labour costs including imputed labour is $1.1 – $1.25 kilograms of milk solids.
